Oregon AFSCME makes all candidate endorsements based on the best interests of our members.
We support candidates who support our members. We focus on wages, hours, and working conditions - specifically worker safety, fairness, living wages and benefits for members that allow them to improve their lives and the lives of their families. We do not base endorsements on political parties or affiliation and welcome all credible candidates to participate in our endorsement process.
Our endorsement interviews are open to all members, voted on by PAC members, and approved by our elected member board, which governs the union. PAC members are made up of Oregon AFSCME members who have been duly elected by their local.
