Oregon AFSCME Legislative Values
Due to funding cuts at the federal level, Oregon lawmakers are facing some tough budget decisions. We are working together with Oregon AFSCME members from across the state to make sure that our voices are heard and that Oregon’s budget is not rebalanced at the cost of workers and the vital public services they provide.
This work does not happen without YOU! We are collecting data from members about the impact that budget cuts will have on the work that you do every single day. Lobby Day
Nearly 100 Oregon AFSCME members from across the state joined us at the Capitol for our annual Lobby Day on February 16, 2026. The Short Legislative Session is only 5 weeks long, and things move quickly — it is crucial that we show up and make sure that our experiences are taken into account when lawmakers are making decisions that impact our jobs and communities.
When we come together to share our stories and make our voices heard, our elected leaders listen.
